Kathmandu : Three missing persons in Hiunchuli were found dead 32 days later, after an avalanche. The bodies of 40-year-old Tarasimha Sarki, 35-year-old Puna Sarki, and 35-year-old Veer Bohora were discovered on Monday in Talfi village, Ward No. 2 of Patan Municipality, Mugum Karmarong.
Deputy Inspector Mahesh Basnet of the District Police Office provided the information about the bodies being found in the Mugu district. The three individuals had gone to Yarsa hunting in Mugum, Chyarkhu, Ward No. 2, according to the information provided by the Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality, which was recorded on April 22nd.
The authorities coordinated with the District Administration Office and Patan Municipality to conduct a search operation, which involved the Karnali Province government, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force along with helicopters. Deputy Inspector Basnet provided the information that the bodies were found after a two-week search conducted by the security forces.
Deputy Inspector Basnet mentioned that the continuous snowfall and the accumulation of deep snow hindered the search operation in the Himalayan region. He stated, ‘The bodies of all three victims were found about two kilometers below the incident site.’ After conducting the necessary examinations at the district hospital in Mugum, a medical team placed the bodies in the designated area for cremation, as informed by Inspector Basnet
