Kathmandu: The Nepali national football team, currently in preparation for the SAFF Championship, is playing a friendly match against the Philippines today. The match will take place at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila, starting at 5 PM local time. The Nepali team had traveled to the Philippines two days ago for this internationally recognized FIFA match. After a day of training and a friendly match, the Nepali team will proceed to Bengaluru, India, to participate in the SAFF Championship.
According to FIFA’s world rankings, the Philippines is currently ranked 136th, while Nepal is ranked 174th. In the six matches played between these two teams so far, Nepal has won one, the Philippines has won four, and one match ended in a draw.
