Kathmandu: Nepal Defeats Maldives in Their Final Match of the Five Nations Basketball Championship and Advances to the Semifinals.
In their last game of the ongoing Five Nations Basketball Championship held in Maldives, Nepal emerged victorious by defeating the host country with a score of 75-68, securing their place in the semifinals. This is Nepal’s third consecutive win in the tournament. After losing their first game against Bhutan, Nepal has achieved consecutive victories against Pakistan and Bangladesh. With this win, Nepal remains at the top of the table, one game ahead of the semifinals. With 7 points in 4 games, Nepal holds the top position, while Pakistan secures the second position with the same points.
Similarly, Bangladesh with 6 points and Bhutan with 4 points are placed third and fourth respectively. Maldives, with 4 points, has been eliminated from the group stage.
The top four teams will now proceed to the semifinals. The competition includes the participation of five nations from South Asia, including Nepal.
