In Humla, in the northern Namkha Rural Municipality-2, a jeep from Chyachhara Bhir has been stuck in the Karnali River. Today morning, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhim Lal Bhattarai, the chief of the District Police Office in Humla, provided information that jeep with registration number Pr 03-01022, heading from Simikot to Hilsa, got stuck in the Karnali River. The jeep had 13 passengers, including the driver. The driver of the Janakpur-bound jeep, Rajesh Lama, 25, is currently receiving treatment at the district hospital in Humla.
The incident occurred as the jeep was climbing a steep slope in Chyachhara Bhir of Humla and got stuck in the Karnali River.
While we were able to survive the accident, the driver suffered serious injuries as informed by the police.
DSP Bhattarai mentioned that only the driver went inside the jeep due to the steep slope, so there were no other human casualties, according to preliminary information.
