Darcula: an earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale occurred near the Khāneshwari area.
According to the National Seismological Center in Lainchaur, the earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale occurred today around 4:55 AM, with the epicenter located near the Khāneshwari area of Darcula district. Prior to this, on Jestha 29, there was an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 with its epicenter in the Bajura district.
Recently, there has been a continuous sequence of earthquakes centered in the eastern and western Himalayan and hilly regions of Nepal.
The Himalayan and hilly regions of Nepal are prone to earthquakes as high-risk areas.
