Today’s weather: Heavy rainfall and the risk of floods and landslides in all provinces

Kathmandu : Currently, Nepal’s eastern and central regions are experiencing the influence of the monsoon system. The remaining parts of the country are experiencing partial effects of local winds and western winds.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are partial to general changes occurring across the country. Light to moderate rainfall, including occasional thunderstorms, is being observed in some areas of the Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Wednesday will see partial to general changes across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall, including thunderstorms, in some areas of the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in some areas of the Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

On Wednesday night, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki Provinces.

The likelihood of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki Provinces poses a risk of floods, landslides, and soil erosion.
