Nepali Dance Presentation at the International Folk Cultural Festival

Kathmandu : The Everest Nepal Cultural Group presented Nepali dances at the International Folk Cultural Festival held in Plzen, Czech Republic, and the city of Myjava, Slovakia.

The festival took place in Plzen, Czech Republic, from June 7 to 11, with the participation of seven nations from around the world. Similarly, the festival held in the city of Myjava, Slovakia, from June 13 to 19, had the participation of eight nations, including Nepal. The group led by Rishi Koirla (Ramchandra), the head of the Everest Nepal Cultural Group from Nepal, featured choreography by director Sitla Acharya, dance direction by Jogendra Kesi, and music composition by Ram Bahadur Bhujel. The group presented various dances, including Jhyaure, Tamang, Maruni, Thali, Bhairav Kali, Dhimay, Kumari, Lakhe, Sorthi, and more, representing Nepal in the festival.

The festival in Slovakia was inaugurated with the Chharia dance of Nepal from Bhairav Kali, and it concluded with the Nepali Chharia dance performed by Kumari.
