kathmandu : The announcement of “Ujyalo Gandaki Province” was made for the fiscal year 2080-81 in Gandaki Province. In the budget of the government for the fiscal year 2080-81, there is mention of expanding electrification and alternative loans within Gandaki Province, and the declaration of “Ujyalo Gandaki Province” in the same year. The Minister of Finance, Jeet Prakash Ale, stated that budget allocation has been made for the installation of solar energy in the remaining households within the province, which are deprived of electricity.
An allocation of 1 crore 75 lakh has been made for the maintenance and construction of damaged small hydropower projects and their integration into the national transmission lines for electricity production.
It is mentioned that feasibility studies for energy production through wind energy and floating solar energy within the province will be initiated. LP gas will be replaced, and programs will be implemented to increase the number of electricity consumers.
The objective of providing regular electricity in public offices, health institutions, schools, and educational institutions to facilitate the adoption of institutional solar energy has been emphasized.
With an allocation of 1 crore, the government has announced the initiation of the institutional solar energy adoption program and the start of solar energy technology adoption work by renovating at least one room in the health post operated by the High Himalayan Center.
In the Lift Drinking Water and Lift Irrigation Scheme operated within the province, a subsidy arrangement of up to 100% on electricity revenue has been made, and an allocation of 5 crore has been made for it, as stated by the Minister.
