Kathmandu: Actor Buddhi Tamang is associated with the film ‘Karsang’ directed by Yam Sherpa.
This film is currently in the pre-production phase under the banner of Yarsa Films. Previously, actress Dayahang Rai was finalized for the lead role in this film. However, Buddhi Tamang has been cast as the new lead actor for this film.
In addition to Purushottam Pradhan’s cinematography, he is also involved as a producer. The film’s cinematography will be done in Bharabishe Municipality and other selected locations in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.
Director Sherpa has mentioned that other artists and technical aspects will be finalized during the development of the film. The remaining cast members will be selected through auditions, as mentioned by Sherpa. The identity of the lead actress in the film has not been revealed by the production team.
This is director Sherpa’s debut directorial film. He has previously directed several short films. Along with casting Dayahang Rai, there is a growing demand for overseas distribution rights, increasing the production team’s pressure. The film’s shooting schedule will be announced soon.
