Kathmandu : Along with the monsoon weather, there is the influence of a low-pressure system around Uttar Pradesh, India.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, there are ongoing changes from normal to heavy rainfall in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while partial changes are occurring in other regions. Light to moderate rainfall is happening in some places of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, as well as in two locations of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
On Sunday, throughout the country, there will be general changes. There is a possibility of scattered rain with thunderstorms and lightning in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, and light to moderate rainfall in most parts of other provinces.
There is also a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in one or two locations of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
During the night, there will be general changes throughout the country. There is a chance of scattered rain with thunderstorms and lightning in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, and light to moderate rainfall in most parts of other provinces.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
There is a high possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in several places of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, along with a chance of widespread rainfall in most parts of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. This could affect road and air transportation, health services, agriculture, tourism, and related sectors.
Due to heavy rainfall, there may be floods, landslides, and waterlogging, so the Meteorological Department has requested necessary precautions and vigilance to be taken.
