Islamabad : In a single household in Pakistan, an armed group attacked, resulting in the death of nine individuals.
In a house in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, an armed group carried out an attack on Wednesday, resulting in the death of at least nine people. Two individuals were injured in the incident.
According to the security officer, the attack occurred due to a family dispute, and three suspects have been apprehended.
As per the report issued by local media sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this incident is related to a marital dispute between two families. After the dispute escalated on Tuesday night, a confrontation ensued, and both parties returned to their respective homes.
Late at night, a member of one family armed with a rifle entered the home of another family. At that time, all present individuals were in deep sleep. Taking advantage of the situation, the assailant opened fire, resulting in the death of nine individuals who were sleeping in two rooms.
An investigating police officer confirmed the incident, stating, “This is a dispute between two families.” According to some reports, the accused had been teased by the victim’s wife, leading to the attack. Subsequently, the accused committed the murders and is currently on the run.
Security officers and rescue workers arrived at the scene of the incident, and the victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Among the deceased are four women, three men, and two children. The police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
