Today’s weather: possibility of rainfall throughout the country

Kathmandu: Currently, the country is experiencing the influence of monsoon winds.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there are varying degrees of rainfall occurring in different parts of the country, except for Province 2, ranging from light to moderate intensity.

During the day, there will be significant changes in weather conditions nationwide. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with occasional thunderstorms in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

In one or two places of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces, heavy rainfall is also likely. In many places of the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as one or two places in other Tarai regions, strong winds are also expected.

During the night, there will be complete weather changes throughout the country. In some places of Koshi, Province 2, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as a few places in other provinces, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with occasional thunderstorms.

In one or two places of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, heavy rainfall is also likely. There is a possibility of strong winds in many places of the Terai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, as well as in a few places in other Tarai regions.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall with occasional thunderstorms in some places of Province 2 and a few places in other provinces of Madhesh Pradesh. In one or two places of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces, heavy rainfall is also possible.

These weather conditions, including strong winds in many places of the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in a few places in other Tarai regions, may affect road and air transportation, health, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology advises taking necessary precautions to prevent risks or damages due to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, landslides, floods, and soil erosion.
