Hetauda : The Bagmati Provincial Assembly is convening a meeting today. The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. in the Provincial Assembly building in Hetauda.

The agenda for today’s meeting is to discuss the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080-81. However, due to the opposition from the major opposition party, including the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), who claim that the budget is divisive, the scheduled meeting may not take place as planned.

Previously, a meeting was called on Ashadh 13 (June 27), but it was postponed for three days due to continuous obstruction by the opposition parties.

Yesterday, even though the meeting was supposed to start at 2 p.m., it was delayed and eventually postponed after the opposition party raised various demands and engaged in protest.

The NCP has recently organized a press conference and publicly demanded the inclusion of their 11-point agenda in the budget.

If consensus is reached in today’s meeting, the government intends to proceed with regular discussions and implementation of the plan, despite the delay in the meeting.

It is uncertain whether the discussion on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080-081, which the provincial government made public on Ashadh 1 (June 15), will be further streamlined or not.
