Kathmandu: In the final of the ACC U-16 Eastern Region Cup Cricket, Nepal took two wickets in the first over against Malaysia. Malaysia, chasing Nepal’s massive target of 253 runs in 35 overs, got off to a shaky start in the first over.
Abhishek Tiwari, bowling the first ball of the innings, bowled out Muhammad Asyakal. In the fifth ball of the same over, he also bowled out Hamza Pangu.
Prior to this, Nepal had set a challenging target of 253 runs for Malaysia while batting first. With Naren Bhatt’s century, Nepal managed to score 252 runs for 8 wickets in the designated 35 overs. Naren Bhatt single-handedly scored 112 runs off 89 balls for Nepal.
