Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the country is currently experiencing the impact of monsoon rain and weather conditions. Most parts of the country are currently facing waterlogging.
According to the department, there is ongoing moderate to heavy rainfall and occasional thunderstorms in the Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, while some places in the Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few areas in other provinces, are experiencing light to moderate rain.
Throughout the day, the country is expected to experience general to heavy rainfall, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in some areas. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall, including thunderstorms and gusty winds, in some places of the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
During the night, the country is expected to experience general to heavy rainfall, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in some areas. The Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces are at risk of heavy rainfall, including thunderstorms and gusty winds. There is also a possibility of strong winds in some areas of the Madhesh and Lumbini provinces in the Terai region.

The Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces are at risk of heavy rainfall, including thunderstorms and gusty winds. There is also a possibility of strong winds in some areas of the Madhesh and Lumbini provinces in the Terai region.
The Department advises that due to the rainfall, road and air transportation, health services, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors may be affected.
Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, landslides, flash floods, inundation, and earthquake-related risks may occur, and it is necessary to take precautions to protect oneself from such risks or damages, as recommended by the Department.
