Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the current monsoon season is affecting the entire country. According to the department, there are significant changes in weather conditions throughout the country. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
During the daytime, there will be widespread changes in weather conditions across the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some areas.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, in certain locations of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Some areas in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces in the Terai region may experience strong winds.
During the night, there will be partial to significant changes in weather conditions across the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, in certain locations of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces. Gangetic, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces in the Terai region may also experience strong winds.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with thunderstorms and lightning. Madhesh and Lumbini provinces in the Terai region may also experience strong winds.
These weather conditions may impact sectors such as road and air transportation, agriculture, and tourism, and caution is advised to mitigate risks and damages caused by heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning, floods, landslides, and earthquakes, as suggested by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
