China : In China, despite the declaration of the end of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide, the threat of its spread still persists in many countries. Although China has lifted most of the preventive measures, the number of deaths from the coronavirus continues to rise.
The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed that there were 239 deaths from the coronavirus in China last month. This marks a rapid increase in the number of deaths compared to previous months.
China had implemented strict measures to control the spread of COVID-19, but many of these measures were relaxed in the past. After the relaxation of preventive measures, there has been a significant increase in the number of lives lost, reaching 239 deaths. According to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there were no reported deaths in May, while there were no deaths in April and March.
In the early stages of 2020, China had adopted a zero-COVID containment strategy. Stringent lockdowns, quarantine measures, border closures, and mandatory mass testing were implemented to save lives.
However, after December, measures were loosened and relaxed. As a result, there was a significant surge in the number of infections, leading to nearly 60,000 deaths.
