Kathmandu: Artists, along with the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudhan Kirati, conducted a tree plantation program on Saturday morning. They accompanied Minister Kirati in planting saplings in a small elephant park.
In Lalitpur’s Small Elephant Park, located in Kirat Mangehim Area, the presence of artists was observed during the tree plantation. As part of the program organized by the Mahalaxmi Municipality, various types of trees, including Jackfruit and Pine, were planted. Minister Kirati addressed the artists during the program, which included cleanliness campaigns, tree planting, and other activities. The artists also participated in cleaning the Pashupati area. Singers Rajesh Payal Rai, actor Aryan Sigdel, folk artists Reeta Thapa Magar, Durga Rai Majhi, Deepak Khadka, Purnakala BC, Shirish Devkota, and Damodar Bhandari were also involved in the tree plantation.
Singer Rajesh Payal Rai emphasized the importance of tree plantation, stating that it serves the purpose of spreading the message of environmental conservation. Recently, singer Raju Lama also planted 3,000 Pipal saplings in Upllo Mustan in Mustang.
