Makwanpur : Three people have died in a vehicle accident in Makwanpur. Two individuals have been injured in the accident.
The incident occurred around 2:00 AM this morning when two trucks, bearing registration numbers Na6Kha 6667 and Na6Kha 631, collided head-on along the East-West section of the Purwanchal Highway in Manhari Gaunpalika-6, Nayabasti Dipayat.
The truck with registration number Na6Kha 6667, traveling from Hetauda towards Chitwan, collided with the truck bearing registration number Na6Kha 631, coming from the opposite direction. Tek Bahadur Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Makwanpur, provided the information about the accident.
According to the authorities, the driver of the truck with registration number Na6Kha 6667, Rihan Rumba Tamang from Rapti Municipality-8, Chitwan, and the co-driver, Suman Chepang from Gandaki Gaunpalika-2, Gordinitar, lost their lives in the accident. Similarly, the co-driver of the truck with registration number Na6Kha 631, Amrit Praja from Manhari-3, Makwanpur, has been receiving treatment at Hetuada Hospital.
The police have informed that the truck that caught fire during the accident has been completely damaged
