Mumbai: Comedian Kapil Sharma has surprised everyone with his film ‘Jvigaato’. The audience highly appreciated Kapil’s performance in the film.
Although the film did not earn much at the box office, it has now found a place in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Indeed, Kapil Sharma’s film ‘Jvigaato’ has found a place in the library of the Oscars. The film’s director and co-writer Nandita Das has shared a post about it.
After ‘Jvigaato’ found its place in the Oscar library, Nandita Das posted on her Instagram, “When an email comes from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Oscars) and says they want our film for their permanent core collection, it’s both surreal and exciting. Jvigaato’s script is now part of this prestigious collection. It’s a happy feeling when a film finds its relevance, breaks barriers, and becomes a part of world cinema.”
Furthermore, Nandita Das writes, “I’m grateful that it will be available in libraries for students, filmmakers, and researchers… I hope you get a chance to read it on OTT platforms! And I wish that audiences can watch Jvigaato soon. Thank you to the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for this honor!”
Kapil Sharma has directed this film, while Nandita Das has co-written it with Sameer Patil. Although it has been several months since the release of the film ‘Jvigaato’, it has not been released on OTT platforms yet. The remaining question is when this film will be released on OTT platforms for viewers to watch.
