kathmandu : On Saturday, a Nepali man named Rajan Chhantyal drowned while playing in the sea in Salmiya, Kuwait. According to the Kuwaiti police, he drowned during a swimming activity in the sea.
Along with Rajan Chhantyal, two other Nepali individuals also drowned during the swimming activity, but their friends managed to rescue them. The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait has been informed about the incident and is aware of the medical treatment being provided to the rescued individuals.
The drowning incident occurred due to the strong water current, which dragged the deceased and the two others to deeper waters.
As per the information provided to the Embassy, necessary legal procedures are being carried out to repatriate the body of the deceased to Nepal.
