Kathmandu : The Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has called for a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 1 PM on Thursday. However, an hour earlier, at 12 PM noon, the Chairman of the National Assembly called for a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs in response to the ruling party’s lawmakers raising questions about the absence of the Meter Bill from the agenda of Thursday’s schedule.
It is mentioned that during the expected schedule for Thursday, there will be a discussion on the authentication letter received from the Office of the President regarding the Bills passed by the Parliament. The Budget (Appropriation) Bill and the Budget Ordinance Bill have already been authenticated by the President.
Similarly, the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Ramesh Rijal, has proposed to send the ‘Electricity Business Bill 2080’ to the Legislation Management Committee for further discussion.
