Agency : Ukraine claims that 60 thousand tons of food have been destroyed on the shores of the Black Sea due to Russian missile attacks.
Russia has issued warnings to any vessel attempting to cross the Black Sea towards the port that it could be targeted as a possible military threat, and it has reportedly aimed at Ukrainian food reserves within hours.
Previously, Russia had announced its withdrawal from the agreement allowing Ukraine’s food exports.
Ukraine’s Agriculture Minister Mykola Solkii has stated that significant damage has been done to the pre-export stockpile.
Although Ukraine benefited from the agreement reached last year through Turkey’s mediation, it accuses Russia of not fulfilling its obligations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has been accused of using the food agreement as “political blackmail” against Western countries.
