Kathmandu : Nepali movie ‘Bagan’ has entered third week from today. The film has received significant support from the audience and specific individuals, which has increased its number of screenings to more than a hundred across the country.
The movie ‘Bagan,’ directed by actor Saroj Khanal for the first time, features performances from Karishma Manandhar, Aakash Shrestha, Pramila Karki, Neer Shah, Basundhara Bhusal, and Mithila Sharma, among others. Actress Karki has made her debut in acting through this film.
The portrayal by actress Karki in the leading role has garnered positive feedback from the audience, with many viewers expressing that her character’s transformation as a daughter has left a profound impact on society.
Reacting to the response she received for her debut movie, actress Karki expressed her excitement, saying, “My hard work has been validated. This is a matter of happiness for me. Although working with established and experienced actors was challenging, I did not feel uncomfortable thanks to their guidance in acting.”
Based on the story by Swapnil Niraula, ‘Bagan’ is presented by Nepali website dotcomm and produced by Suresh Wagle, who is also the lyricist. The executive producer is Vinod Manandhar. The film features cinematography by Gaurishankar Dhuju, Utsav Dahal, and Narayan Jisi, editing by Sandesh Shah, B.F.X by Samir Miya, color correction by Renish Fago, background score by Sujil Karmacharya, and sound mixing by Mukesh Shah.
The movie’s music, composed by Hari Lamsal and Suvas Bhushal, features vocals from Anju Panta, Sugam Pokharel, and Asmita Adhikari. Its distribution is handled by Rich Entertainment and Design, and the F.D. Company is responsible for its distribution in Kathmandu Valley and the region.
