Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that currently, Nepal is experiencing a partial effect of the monsoon winds. The low-pressure system of the monsoon is located to the south of the central region.
According to the department, there will be light to moderate rainfall in some places of the country, with the possibility of heavy rainfall, thunder, and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, there is a chance of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Lumbini province and other provinces.
During the night, there will be a partial effect of the monsoon with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall and thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces as well as in other provinces.
In some places of the hilly regions and other provinces, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. In some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, there is also a chance of heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning.
Due to the possible occurrence of heavy rainfall, thunder, and lightning, there may be risks of landslides, floods, landslips, and soil erosion in some places of the hilly regions and other provinces. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has requested everyone to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect against such risks.
