45 people have died during a crackdown on the drug cartel In Brazil

Kathmandu : In Brazil, 45 people have died during a targeted crackdown on the drug cartel. If we include the 58 casualties from three states in Brazil where the targeted crackdown on the drug cartel took place, the total death toll reaches 103.

According to BBC, Brazilian police have seized 385 kilograms of drugs during the operation. They also managed to recover some weapons, including rifles, from the possession of the suspects.

As reported by BBC, the clash between the police and drug traffickers in Rio de Janeiro resulted in the closure of schools and other official activities due to the tense situation in the area.

In Brazil, there have been frequent clashes between drug cartels and law enforcement. This year alone, there have been 33 such clashes resulting in 125 deaths.
