Kathmandu: The general assembly of Bhaktapur District Cricket Association, which was scheduled for today, has been postponed.
Although the criteria were met, the High Court of Patan had issued an interim order on 15th Shrawan, not providing membership to themselves, in the case filed by Ashok Ratna Shakya. The issue was heard in a joint bench of justices Gokarna Dangi and Amrit Bahadur Basnet on Wednesday. Cricket Association of Nepal’s (CAN) central treasurer Roshan Singh had also raised objections stating that the interim order should not be given continuity. However, the bench has given continuity to the interim order, understanding the evidence.
Another hearing is scheduled for the 24th of this month. Along with this, information about the postponement of the general assembly for Thursday was provided by the district president Rupak Ranjit.
