kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology in Kathmandu has informed that the impact of the monsoon wind in Nepal, along with a partial effect of the low-pressure system around Madhya Pradesh, India, is being experienced. The subtropical line of the monsoon is currently situated to the south of the place known as Sardar in the western region and to the north and east of the place known as Sardar in the central and eastern regions.
According to the department, there have been occasional to light to moderate rainfall in some places of Koshi and Karnali provinces.
In the western region of the country, there will be partial to normal changes in the weather. There is a possibility of occasional to light to moderate rainfall in some places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
In the eastern region of the country, there will be partial to normal changes in the weather. There is a possibility of occasional to light to moderate rainfall in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
In some places of Koshi and Sudurpashchim provinces, there is a possibility of occasional to light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms.

Due to the monsoon, there may be an increase in the water level of rivers, flooding, landslides, soil erosion, and windstorms, which could lead to difficulties and risks in public health, agriculture, daily life, road and air traffic. Therefore, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has requested everyone to be cautious and take necessary precautions.
