Two mountaineers who successfully climbed 14 Himalayan peaks in three months were welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Norwegian climber Kristin Harila and Nepali guide Tenjen (Lama) were welcomed on Saturday at the international airport.
Sherpas successfully climbed the world’s second highest peak, Kanchenjunga, on the same day, i.e., on August 11.
The Ministry of Tourism, Department of Tourism, Nepal Mountaineering Association, and various tourism-related organizations and climbers gathered at the airport for a cultural reception.
Harila and Sherpa have successfully climbed Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum II, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, and K2 in their record-breaking achievement.
