Beijing: A tremor of 5.5 magnitude has been felt in the Pingwu County of Aba Prefecture in China’s Sichuan Province.
According to local time, the earthquake was felt at around 2:30 am. China Earthquake Networks Center reported the quake. Media reports suggest that many buildings have been damaged as a result of the earthquake, and at least ten people have been injured.
The epicenter of the earthquake was about 26 kilometers south of the city of Dezhou at a depth of 10 kilometers. Prior to this, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake was also felt in Afghanistan on Saturday. The epicenter of the earthquake in Afghanistan was in the Hindu Kush region. There have been no reported damages from the earthquake in Afghanistan.
