The influence of the monsoon wind leads to most areas receiving rainfall

Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has stated that the monsoon wind in Nepal is accompanied by the impact of a weak low-pressure system near Bihar, India. The minimum monsoon line is situated north of the Sardar location.

According to the Division, the entire country will experience light to moderate rainfall, ranging from partial to full changes, while Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as some places in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall.

During the daytime, the entire country will experience partial to complete cloudiness. In some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with Koshi and Mahakali Provinces, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

At night, the entire country will experience partial to complete cloudiness. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with partial to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

In some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with Koshi and Lumbini Provinces, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. There is also a possibility of windstorm in some areas of Koshi Province.

Light to moderate rainfall is possible in some places of all provinces. In some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with partial to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Due to the rain, there is a possibility of increased water level in rivers, flash floods, landslides, mudslides, soil erosion, and windstorm, which could affect public health, agriculture, daily life, roads, and air travel. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has requested the public to adopt necessary precautions to protect themselves from risks, inconvenience, or damage caused by these conditions.
