Heavy rainfall will occur in some parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has announced that Nepal is currently under the influence of the monsoon wind, along with the impact of a weak low-pressure system in the northern region of Bangladesh and its surrounding areas. The weak monsoon line is currently situated north of the Subtropical Ridge (near Nepal).

According to the Division, the weather is changing from normal to complete change in many places across the country, with light to moderate rainfall occurring in some places in Gandaki Province and light to moderate rainfall occurring in some places in the remaining provinces.

Daytime conditions will remain normal across the country. Light to moderate rainfall is possible in many places across the country. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall, including thunder and lightning, in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

At night, the weather will remain normal across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as some places in the remaining provinces.

In some places of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall, including thunder and lightning. There is also a possibility of hail in some places of Koshi and Madhes provinces.

In many places across the country, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall. In some places of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall, including thunder and lightning.

Due to the monsoon, rivers’ water levels are expected to rise, leading to potential risks of flooding, landslides, soil erosion, and strong winds. The Division has urged the public to be cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid health, agricultural, daily life, road, and air travel-related inconveniences, risks, or damages.
