Gulmi: In Musikot Municipality Ward No. 1 of Gulmi, Vice-Chairperson Mohan Ghimire has passed away.
He had written a Facebook status in the morning around 5 o’clock bidding farewell, and he was found unconscious around 7:30 AM leaning against a tree.
Ghanthung, who was around an hour and a half away from home, informed that Ghimire was found dead in the jungle. District Police Office, Gulmi’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Navin Kishor Pradhan informed about this.
In his Facebook post, Vice-Chairperson Ghimire had written, “After being caught in circumstances, surviving doesn’t make sense. Beloved Anita, I can’t fulfill my responsibilities anymore. Please forgive me. To my family, siblings, well-wishers, I seek forgiveness from all. Farewell.”
On Friday afternoon, Vice-Chairperson Ghimire, who had gone out for municipal work, was found to have stayed away from home the whole night, as indicated by family sources. Ghimire was also the President of the Nepali Congress Musikot Municipality Ward Committee.
For further investigation into the incident, a team including the Police Inspector from Gulmi District Police Office has been dispatched, according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
