Kathmandu: Currently, the monsoon’s low-pressure area is located to the south of Saradaar Station. Additionally, there is a partial effect of the low-pressure area in the northern parts of India and the surrounding areas of Nepal.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in various places across the country, with the likelihood of light to moderate rain in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as isolated places in other provinces.
During the daytime, there will be localized light to moderate changes across the country. Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in some places of all provinces, while heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is possible in one or two places in the Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
For the night, partial to light changes are anticipated throughout the country. There is the possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
In some places of all provinces, there is the possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is possible in one or two places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Due to rising river levels, increased groundwater flow, floods, landslides, and soil erosion, there is the potential for health, agricultural, daily life, road and air traffic disruptions, risks, or damages. The Meteorological Division has urged for necessary caution to be exercised to prevent potential risks or damages.
