Appointed in the Communication Registrar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Kathmandu: Mahesh Kafle has been appointed as the ‘Communication Registrar’ of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. According to the ‘Communication and Information Technology Act 2080’, he has been appointed as the Communication Registrar for the 18th time.

In this appointment, he will be responsible for the Department of Communication, Information, and Data Management. Kafle has been transferred to the post of Communication Registrar from the Chief of the Information Technology Department.

Kafle will now assume the responsibilities of the Registrar along with the departmental chief. He was promoted to the position on Wednesday. Previously, he was in the Public-Private Partnership Unit.

Kafle will be responsible for managing the facts and information technology, web sites, social networks, email management, monitoring, and regulation of the municipality. He will also work as the Secretary of the Communication Authority of the Municipality.

His main responsibility as the Communication Registrar will be to fulfill the duties assigned to the Registrar and complete the tasks assigned to the Registrar of Communication.

Under Article 226 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, the rights mentioned in Schedule 8 and 9 related to communication mentioned in the list of rights are used to manage communication-related rights according to the clear legal provision. This Act was issued by the 13th assembly of the Municipal Council held in Ashad 2080 B.S.

This law has been issued for the clear legal arrangement of journalism, publication, broadcasting, newspapers, information, data, archive management, and regulation.
