Bangalore: India has once again made history. India’s Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the Moon on Wednesday. With this, India has become the first country in the world to reach the southern pole of the Moon.

Along with this, ISRO’s live streaming link has also made history on YouTube. The live streaming of Chandrayaan-3’s landing broke all records in YouTube’s history, with a simultaneous viewership of 8.06 million people.

Prior to this, the record on YouTube was held by the live streaming of Chandrayaan-3’s landing since Wednesday. The live streaming of the football match between Brazil and Korea garnered a viewership of 6.15 million people, breaking the previous record.

Furthermore, the football match between Brazil and Croatia, which was ranked third, was watched by 5.2 million people simultaneously.

Before the landing of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO’s official YouTube channel had around 2.6 million subscribers, which increased to 3.5 million after the successful landing.

The direct broadcast of the landing lasted for about an hour and eleven minutes, during which ISRO gained around nine lakh subscribers in an hour. ISRO’s live broadcast had more than three times the number of simultaneous viewers compared to subscribers.
