Kathmandu: Currently, the minimum monsoon trough lies north of the Sardar area. Additionally, the low-pressure area located in the northwestern region of Uttar Pradesh, India, is also affecting some low-pressure areas in Nepal.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather across the country is changing from normal to completely cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall expected in some places.
During the daytime, the weather will remain mostly cloudy throughout the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places. In the Kosi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places.
At night, the weather is expected to change from normal to completely cloudy across the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in many places. Similarly, in the provinces of Kosi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places.
In the Sudurpaschim Province and other provinces, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some places, while in a few places of other provinces, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall.
In the provinces of Kosi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places. As a result, there is a likelihood of rising river water levels, flash floods, landslides, riverbank erosion, and other potential hazards in these regions. Authorities have urged people to remain cautious and take necessary precautions to protect their health, agriculture, daily life, roads, and air transportation from possible risks and damages.
