Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has announced that the minimum pressure area of the monsoon is currently located north of the Saradar region. Additionally, its influence extends to the western Assam and surrounding areas.
According to the Department’s branch, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some parts of the country today. This morning, normal changes are observed in Province 1.
In other regions, there are partial to normal changes. Light rain is occurring in some places in Province 1 and Province 2.
According to the branch, the rest of the country will experience partial to normal changes during the day. Some places in the hill regions may experience light to moderate rainfall, while there is a possibility of light rain in some places in the Terai regions.
In the Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini Provinces’ Tarai regions, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in some places.
The Department has indicated that the country will experience partial to normal changes throughout the night. In the Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki Provinces, there is a possibility of light rain in some places.
From the regions where there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall, the Department has informed that river water levels may rise, there may be flash floods, landslides, soil erosion, and the potential for health, agriculture, daily life, roads, and air traffic disruptions.”
