Kathmandu : The Sunny Deol-starrer film ‘Gadar 2’ has made a new record at the Indian box office. This film has now entered the 500 crore club, breaking records by earning 7.80 billion on its fourth Sunday.
The film’s total collection is 5.01 billion. Now, the film is aiming to break the record of the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2,’ which had earned 510.99 crore at the Indian box office.
With ‘Gadar 2’ joining the 500 crore club within 24 days, it has become the fastest film to achieve this milestone. Prior to this, only ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Pathan’ had made it to this club.
‘Gadar 2’ took 24 days to earn 500 crores, while ‘Pathan’ took 28 days, and the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2’ took 34 days.
‘Gadar 2’ has not only performed well in India but has also earned good revenue overseas. According to Bollywood reports, the film has earned more than 650 crore worldwide. It has been performing well in countries like Australia, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
What’s noteworthy is that ‘Gadar 2’ was released alongside Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Oh My God 2.’ While ‘Oh My God 2’ also performed well at the box office, it couldn’t overshadow the impact of ‘Gadar 2.’ Even after two weeks of ‘Oh My God 2,’ the film continues to perform well.
On the other hand, ‘Dream Girl 2,’ released last Sunday, earned 8.10 crore. The film’s total collection is now 86.16 crore. Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Pandey’s film is on its way to joining the 100 crore club.
