Kathmandu : Former defender Sergio Ramos, who played for Spanish club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after leaving French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has returned to his childhood club Sevilla after 18 years. The 37-year-old Ramos has signed a one-year deal with Sevilla.
“It’s a very special day. Returning home is always special,” said Ramos. “I am happy to be back here and will do my best to contribute, which is an important thing.”
Ramos has played 180 games for Spain, winning the World Cup and Euro Cup for the country during his 16-year career. During his time at Real Madrid, he won four UEFA Champions League titles among other honors.
Having come through Sevilla’s academy at the age of 7, Ramos joined the first team at the age of 17 in 2004 before moving to Real Madrid in 2005.
After spending 16 years in the Spanish capital Madrid, Ramos played 671 games, winning 22 trophies including 5 La Liga titles and 4 UEFA Champions League titles.
After parting ways with Real Madrid, he signed with PSG in 2021, where he played for two seasons, helping PSG win the league title during his tenure.
