Lalitpur : In Patan, Lalitpur, devotees have been gathering at the Krishna Temple since early morning today. Today, on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, devotees have gathered at the Krishna Temple for worship and adoration.
According to Hinduism, during the Dwapara Yuga, Bhadra Krishna Ashtami is celebrated as Krishna Janmashtami. It is believed that Lord Shri Krishna was born on the day of Bhadra Krishna Ashtami, and Krishna Janmashtami is observed as a festival to commemorate his birth. As mentioned in religious scriptures, worship and adoration are performed at Patan’s Krishna Temple on this day.
Every year, devotees gather at the Krishna Temple to celebrate Janmashtami. In previous years, there were fewer devotees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Devotees are seated in the southern and northern sides of the temple for worship and offerings.
