Kathmandu : Today is Shri Krishna Janmashtami. On the occasion of the birth of Lord Shri Krishna, various programs are being organized across the country today.
Devotees from all over the country gather to visit the Shri Krishna Temple in Patan Durbar Square Museum. Additionally, followers of the Shri Krishna Pranami faith are organizing grand religious programs in various places such as Kathmandu’s Gathaghar, Lalitpur’s Imadol, Rautahat’s Nazarpur, and Sunsari’s Itahari.
On this occasion, the government has also declared a public holiday today.
