Kathmandu : A hearing on the case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane for the alleged rape of a minor is scheduled for today.
The final hearing for the case of child rape is scheduled for today.
Despite having been included in the verdict of Judge Prakash Pandit at the Kathmandu District Court on August 24th, stating “not to be seen,” for the last time, a hearing has been scheduled for today.
The Supreme Court had ordered a comprehensive decision, including an order to deliver a strong verdict in cases involving sensitive subjects. However, the case against Sandeep is not currently on the agenda in the District Court.
The last hearing in this case took place on August 14th. On that day, the Kathmandu District Court Judge Raj Kumar Khadka had ordered a re-verification of the birthdate of the victim girl, as her date of birth was found to be 2035 in one document and 2033 in another. Following the same order, a re-verification of the birthdate is scheduled to take place during today’s hearing.
