Kathmandu : The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology in Nepal has currently informed about the presence of the monsoon’s low-pressure line southward of Sardar Station.

According to the department, the country is currently experiencing partial to normal changes in weather. Light rainfall has occurred in some places in the Koshi and Bagmati regions.

Today during the day, the likelihood of partial to normal changes in weather will continue throughout the country. Megha, thunder, and lightning with light to moderate rainfall are expected in some places in the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in certain areas of the other provinces. There is also a possibility of gusty winds in some places in the Madhes Province and Koshi Province’s Tarai region.

Due to the monsoon, the water surface of rivers in these regions may increase slightly, which could lead to issues such as flooding, landslides, river erosion, inundation, and damage to public health, agriculture, daily life, roads, and air traffic. Therefore, the department has advised the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent potential dangers such as landslides and gusty winds.
