New York : In the final match held in New York, USA, American player Coco Gauff defeated Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka, winning her first Grand Slam title. Gauff won the match with a score of 2–6, 6–3, 6–2.
After facing defeat in the 2022 French Open final, the young American athlete Gauff achieved success in the US Open tennis tournament.
On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev are competing for the title. In the semifinals, Medvedev defeated the world number one Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz 3–1 in sets, while Djokovic defeated American player Ben Shelton 3–0 in straight sets. As a result, Djokovic and Medvedev have advanced to the final.
