Kathmandu : In international friendly football, Nepal will be playing against Myanmar tomorrow. As part of the preparations for the first round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Nepali national football team, currently based in Yangon, is set to compete against the home team, Myanmar, in the second friendly match.
The upcoming match will take place at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, according to Nepali time, starting at 4:45 PM tomorrow.
In the previous game held last Friday, both teams failed to score any goals, resulting in a goalless draw. During that match, Myanmar exerted pressure on the Nepali team for most of the game.
In the FIFA rankings, Nepal is currently ranked 175th, while Myanmar holds the 160th position.
Following this, Nepal will play against Laos, and Myanmar will face Macau in the qualifiers. The first round of the competition is scheduled to take place in October on a home-and-away basis.
